1

Copy the video URL

Open YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, or any supported site. Find the video you want to download, then copy its URL from your browser's address bar or the share menu. On mobile, tap Share → Copy Link.

2

Paste the URL into Fetchr

Come back to fetchr.cc and paste the link into the input box at the top of the page (use Ctrl+V / Cmd+V, or tap the Paste button on the right). Fetchr will automatically detect the platform and show you the video's title and thumbnail so you can confirm you have the right video.

3

Choose quality and download

Select your preferred quality: 1080p for the best picture, 720p for a good balance of quality and file size, 480p or 360p for small files, or MP3 Audio to extract just the sound. Click Download and your file will be ready within seconds. A green button will appear — click it to save the file to your device.

Tips & Tricks

Downloading on Mobile (iPhone & Android)

On mobile, open the video in the app and tap Share → Copy Link. Then open your mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox), go to fetchr.cc, paste the link, and tap Download. On iOS, when the file download begins, tap Downloads in your browser and then Save to Files to keep it in iCloud or local storage. On Android, the file goes straight to your Downloads folder.

Extracting Audio as MP3

Select the MP3 Audio quality option to extract the audio track from any video. This is great for saving music performances, podcasts uploaded as videos, language lessons, or any spoken content you want to listen to offline. The output is a 192kbps MP3 that works with any music player.

Downloading Long Videos

Very long videos (over an hour) may take longer to process — usually 1–3 minutes for a full-length movie or lecture. The progress bar will show you exactly where things stand. Don't close the tab while the download is processing on the server.

If a Download Fails

Some videos are protected or private and cannot be downloaded. If you see an error message, check the FAQ for common solutions. For YouTube, make sure the video is publicly available (not age-restricted without sign-in or set to private by the uploader).

File Expiry

Downloaded files are stored on Fetchr's servers for 30 minutes, then automatically deleted. Make sure to save your file before the time runs out. If you need it again, just re-download.

Platform-Specific Guides

YouTube

YouTube URLs look like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXXXXX or the short form https://youtu.be/XXXXXXXXXXX. Both work with Fetchr. YouTube Shorts are also supported — just copy the URL from the Shorts page.

TikTok

On TikTok, tap the Share arrow, then Copy Link. The URL will look like https://www.tiktok.com/@username/video/1234567890. Fetchr downloads TikTok videos without the TikTok watermark. Read more in our blog post: How to Download TikTok Videos Without Watermark.

Instagram

Instagram Reels, posts, and Stories can all be downloaded. Tap the three-dot menu on a post or Reel and choose Copy Link. Note: private account posts can't be downloaded unless you're following them (and even then, Instagram may block it). See: How to Save Instagram Reels.

Twitter / X

On Twitter/X, click the Share icon on a tweet with a video, then Copy link to Tweet. Paste that URL directly into Fetchr. Both twitter.com and x.com links work.

Frequently Asked Questions About Using a Video Downloader

Fetchr is entirely browser-based — no app, extension, or software installation needed. Just open fetchr.cc, paste your video URL, choose a quality, and click Download. It works on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android straight from your browser.
Fetchr supports 1,000+ websites via yt-dlp, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, Vimeo, Facebook, Reddit, Twitch, Dailymotion, Bilibili, and many more. See the full supported sites list for details.
YouTube delivers video through adaptive streaming (DASH/HLS) rather than a simple file URL, so right-clicking only gives you playback options, not a downloadable file. Fetchr handles the stream fetching and merging on the server side, giving you a proper MP4 file to save.
Open your phone's browser (Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android), go to fetchr.cc, and paste the video link. After downloading, iPhone users will find the file in the Files app under Downloads; Android users will find it in the Downloads folder of their file manager.
Yes. Fetchr does not ask for any personal information, does not require sign-in, and does not install anything on your device. Downloaded files are standard MP4 or MP3 files. The server automatically deletes your file after 30 minutes. There are no ads or third-party tracking scripts on the site.
